About Us ...
Owner/Manager Amy Brand has many years of personal and professional experience with animals of all types. She has previous experience as a vet tech, professional handler, and experience in behavior modification. She has her B.S. degree in Animal Science, and continues to take continuing education classes. Amy is also a veteran of the US Navy, and while serving in the Navy she had to undergo numerous top-level security clearances and FBI background checks.
Amy lives with her husband, Kevin, in Franklin, TN on a small farm with 4 horses, 2 dogs, ducks, chickens, guineas, a cat, and a couple of bunnies. She loves all her animals and gives them all exceptional care and lots of love and attention, and will treat your animals like she would treat her own.
Amy has a special interest in aggressive and timid animals that most other pet-sitters would turn away. Amy frequently volunteers her time with Happy Tales Humane, The Red Cross (she worked in a Katrina Animal Shelter). When Amy is not busy pet-sitting, she spends her time training her own animals, riding horses (showjumping and dressage), going to horse shows, and teaching riding lessons.
Kevin is Amy's husband, and serves as a back up pet-sitter from time to time during busy times such as holidays. Kevin has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from UTC. He works for Rivals.com in Brentwood, TN as a Computer Programmer and Web Developer. He also helps Amy manage the "fun" part of the business so that she can devote her time to her clients and their pets.
Kevin is an animal lover. He especially loves working around large dog breeds.
Julie Layzer has been an animal lover her entire life and has been riding horses for over 20 years. She currently owns 2 cats and 2 horses. She is a certified equine massage therapist and has worked as a barn manager, a dressage trainer and has also assisted in canine care at a rescue kennel.
